Why is CSCS important?
CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the appropriate training and qualifications for the job they do on site. By ensuring the workforce are appropriately qualified the card plays its part in improving standards and safety on UK construction sites.
How do you get CSCS?
To apply for a CSCS card you must prove you have the appropriate construction related qualifications and training for the job you do. In most cases you must pass the appropriate CITB Health Safety and Environment Test within the previous two years. Exemptions to this requirement are listed here.
Can I get a CSCS card without qualifications?
If you do not have a recognised qualification CSCS can issue you with a temporary card. Before a temporary card can be issued you must be registered onto the appropriate qualification for your occupation.
How long does it take for a CSCS card to be approved?
3-5 days
When your application has been approved, your CSCS card will be posted out to you the next working day. Most cards arrive at their requested destination within 3-5 days of application approval. If your card does not arrive within 10 days then please contact CSCS.
