What is different between T40 and T45?
There’s nothing between a std Textron Torx T40 and a T45. The only odd number of size is a special GM Torx fastener, a T47. The original std Torx eventually morphed into the Torx Plus with slightly bigger splines for higher torqueing capacity. Your T40 bit is a std Torx, your fastener is a Torx Plus.
